Our budding photographer.

The other day Elijah took the camera and wanted to take some pictures.  I told him he could take a few and then we needed to put it up.  Noah had just woken up from his nap and was in his crib awake and Josiah was still sleeping.  I was busy doing somethings and when he came back we have 91 new pictures to upload!  Some of them not so nice like

all the mess that we had lying around...

or the picture hanging on his wall

and of course we need a close up shot of the knob on his closet door

and the tub of wipes on the dresser.

But at his size he got some interesting perspective.  Such as down below out stockings

and the underside of his table top tree on the dresser in their room.

We also got plenty of shots up Noah's nose.

And we can't forget that Josiah was sleeping when this all started.

That didn't last long.

But I have to hand it to him that even though he had several shots that he thoroughly got a good laugh out of looking at and explaining to me what the subject actually was. He did get a few photos that we can be proud to print.

And yeah I know that Noah's bed needs to be lowered.  :)

Do we have to 'let it snow, let it snow, let it snow'?

Oh the joys of Central New York.  It can start snowing on Saturday and just never stop.  :)  The wonderful phenomenon of 'lake effect' snow.  It is Monday night and we are going on 48 hours of snow and from the looks of the forecast (all though I haven't figured out if lake effect snow is forecastable) it won't be stopping for a few more days.  :)

Elijah told me he wanted to go out and play in the snow but since it is literally up to his knees I am not really sure that is even possible.  Here are a few shots I took around 4pm when we had to make a Target run.  These sidewalks are not visible anymore currently.  Expecting 6 more inches over night.

10 Months (a little late)

I am 2 weeks late with these but here is Noah at 10 months.  He is about 22.5 lbs.  He does not care for baby food 98% of the time.  I can get him to eat a jar or at least some of a jar of fruit every once in awhile but he wants the real table stuff.  He has 2 full teeth and two partial teeth. He has had everything from cheerios and baby snacks like puffs and yogurt melts to taco meat and refried beans (Shane told me I had diaper duty the day after that one) to bites of chicken and broccoli and pasta.  He loves to eat just about anything you give him as long as it isn't in one of those baby food jars.  And he much prefers to pick things up and eat them then to have you feed it on a utensil.  This poses a challenge sometimes.

He is a mover!  Oh my goodness diaper changes can be very challenging!!  He doesn't like to lie still and we have been dealing with an awful diaper rash for weeks that included a yeast infection (after 3 dr. visits I think we are finally getting it cleared up though).  Yeast infection + antibiotic cream + diaper cream + plus wiggly child with flying arms and legs = a three ring circus :)  Elijah has even been helping by trying to hold his hands so that at least we can try and keep his hands free of the mess.

He is so different from Josiah (my child who didn't walk until 18 months and still to this day prefers to move slow :) or I guess what we should call his own pace).  I am sure that Noah will walk much sooner.  He pulls up on everything and crawls where ever he feels like going.

He makes lots of noises so maybe he and Elijah will be able to keep each other busy talking to each other while Josiah and I can sit and enjoy not talking.  He started making this face where he squints his eyes and scrunches up his nose and smiles and we refer to it as his 'silly face.'  One night he had Elijah in hysterics at the dinner table with the face and so therefore he kept doing it because he figured out it made him laugh.  The rest of us were laughing to because of the two of them together.  I have yet to get the silly face in a photo but I am working on it.

Here are his 10 month bear photos.  I didn't know how to just pick a couple so I put them all up.  You can get a glimpse of all of his many emotions and also how his biggest brother wants to be involved in everything!

My baby is growing up.

The other day Elijah told me he wanted a peanut butter sandwich for lunch.  Then he told me he wanted to make the sandwich himself.  Cool!  I can handle that.  :)

I wasn't sure how it would end up and in the end I did end up helping him out a little because he really would have wanted more peanut butter on his sandwich than he had done himself but it was a help that he wanted to try.

He is a funny kid.  He is goofy, competitive, cuddly and talkative right now.  He can wear you out just sitting there beside him but he is so much fun too.  He and I spent some time at the mall together today and he found a Christmas gift for Josiah all by himself and we sat and had pretzels and a coke together.  He can drive me insane sometimes but I love that he is my son.

Now if he could just learn to wipe his own behind.  :)

This is my attempt at keeping in touch with family and friends and my source for keeping track of our day to day events so I can scrapbook them someday. :)
